The Holidays are coming and going so fast I don't even remember which holiday is next anymore. I just can't wait for it to be all over so I can actually get some things done. Although I've been very lax on my painting, all my commissions coming up have, well, set my pants on fire to get back to painting again. The good news is this has sparked the creative chip lodged somewhere in my brain and I'm feeling very abstract. Well, that will have to wait until the commissions are done first, I suppose.

My painting muse has left me and I'm off to search for her. Sorry for those who have been watching my posts here. I've got a few commission works for a few people left to do, but the work hasn't been easy. Went to the Faberge art exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in hopes of creative sparks. Didn't get any sparks, but I was completely amazed at the fine workmanship of Faberge and his workshop. I was especially impressed with the tiny paintings of the Tzar and his family. Such delicate care and precision!

Visited the Picaso art exhibit in Richmond, VA, which was amazing. Very inspirational work to be seen. Got me all pumped up to do some more painting. If you want to know more, check out the museums website: http://www.vmfa.state.va.us/ The museum has been renovated and updated, which looks vastly better than last time I was there...although there are some old parts still around that I recognize. If you happen to be in Virginia and you love art, please visit the Museum of Fine Art. Peace

I'd seriously fave everything in your gallery if it wasn't so time consuming on my laggy laptop. xD
